Agreement to Terms

By installing or using the IDE Host extension or related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. The Service is provided by IDE Host (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. ("IDE Host", "Progearly", "progearly.com", "we", "us"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and IDE Host. You must be 18 or older to use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these Terms and Conditions, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and you must discontinue use immediately.

Services Overview

Our Chrome extension provides AI-powered assistance in four modes (Quiz, Explanation, Writing, Blog) by calling external LLM APIs (e.g. ChatGPT, Google Gemini). We offer an initial 10 free queries upon registration. After the free limit, you must purchase credits or a subscription to continue using the Service. All queries consume “tokens” (the measure of text processed), and credits are deducted based on usage.

Registration & API Key

To use the extension, you must register on our website (idehost.com) and obtain a unique API key. You agree to provide accurate registration details (name, email, phone, etc.) and keep them updated. Your API key is like a password; it should be kept secret. Following security best practices, you should not expose your key in public or in client-side code. All API calls are routed through our backend where your key is validated; we do not hard-code your key into the extension. You are responsible for all activities under your account.

User Registration

You are required to register with the Service to access API functionality. You agree to keep your password and API keys confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and API keys. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

Payment, Credits, and Subscription

All billing is handled through Razorpay. IDE Host securely processes payment information in compliance with applicable data security standards. After the free queries, use of the Service requires purchasing credits or an active subscription. We clearly disclose our pricing and payment terms on our website. In accordance with Chrome’s policies, we make clear that IDE Host is the seller of services (not Google). Based on the plan purchased, credits are valid for a specified duration. Except as required by law, all sales are final; we do not offer refunds for used credits or subscriptions. You may cancel a subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of the paid period.

Usage Limits and Account Management

Each API key is subject to rate limiting and fair-use policies to ensure system stability. You may not exceed these limits (e.g. too many queries per minute). We may throttle or suspend keys that abuse the system. You are responsible for monitoring your usage. You may not share, sell, or transfer your API key to others. If you suspect unauthorized use of your key, contact us immediately so we can revoke and reissue it.

User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any prompts (“Input”) you provide and any AI-generated responses (“Output”) you receive. As with many AI service terms, you own the output content you create. We assign to you any rights we might have in that generated content. You grant us a license to use your Input and Output for the limited purpose of operating and improving the Service (e.g. to prevent abuse or to improve our AI models), but we will not sell or otherwise use your content beyond that scope. The IDE Host extension software and all underlying technology are owned by IDE Host or its licensors; they are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy or redistribute the extension code.

Disclaimers and No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or immune to security risks. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The AI-generated content may be inaccurate or inappropriate; you use it at your own risk. IDE Host is not responsible for any decisions you make or actions you take based on the Service. You agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk, and it is your responsibility to verify any AI output before relying on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, IDE Host (and its officers, employees, and agents) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months. In no case will IDE Host’s liability exceed this limit. This limitation applies even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold IDE Host and its affiliates harmless from any claims or demands (including legal fees) made by any third party due to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of others' rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any conduct we deem harmful. Upon termination, your API keys will be revoked and you will forfeit any unused credits. We will not be liable for any consequences of termination.

Changes to Terms

IDE Host may modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India (or specify state). Any disputes arising hereunder will be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and IDE Host regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
